About the Author

Like librarian Ms. Bradshaw in Property of the Rebel Librarian, Allison Varnes has fought for her students. She taught English in special education for eight years and once had to convince administrators that The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and the Harry Potter books were not endorsements of witchcraft. She's from a family of teachers and has a PhD in education from the University of Tennessee. And like heroine June, Allison is a former marching-band geek. When she's not writing, she howls along to the Hamilton soundtrack with a trio of Chihuahuas named after Peanuts characters.

Review

Let me start by saying this, "Property of the Rebel Librarian" by be a kids book, but this way a true rebellion. I loved this book from start to finish. In my opinion though, I'm glad Emma and June got back together as friends. It just teaches kids to not let some boy get in between your friendship, even though their friendship has been changed forever.

I would recommend this book to anybody who loves a good book about loyalty, standing up for your rights, betrayal and friendship.
