About the Book
I'll be OK, It's just a hole in my head: A Memoir on Heartache and Head Injury is a humorous and thoughtful cross between Jill Bolte Taylor’s My Stoke of Insight and Jenny Lawson’s Furiously Happy. Shocking and funny, Hayes’ memoir shares the true story of a sudden brain hemorrhage at the age of twenty-two – and the heartache and strength that it took to overcome it.

Review
I'll be OK, It's just a hole in my head, is a very intriguing memoir about a young women who experiences her first heartbreak, that very well could have lead to what is now her head trauma. Through everything, she presses on instead of giving up. This is a real memoir, with a purpose.
Mimi Hayes has managed to take a traumatic experience, that could have very well killed her. Instead, she fights through and commands her body to heal. When I first started reading this book, I was like "Please let this be a good memoir. Then the story picked and I was like, that's messed up." My heart slightly broke at the amount of pain she has experienced.
I would recommend this book for ages 15 & up. Be advised their is mild language in the book, but overall it is a great story.
